VBA Restricted Registration

FiT is pleased to offer the following units required for the VBA Restricted Registration as an RPL Pathway for those existing workers who meet the criteria listed below.

CPPCMN2002A	Participate in workplace safety arrangements
CPPFES2004A	Identify types of installed fire safety equipment & systems
CPPFES2006A	Prepare for installation and servicing operations
CPPFES2037A	Inspect and test fire hydrant systems.
*OPTIONAL Addition
CPPFES2010A	Inspect & test fire hose reels

Along with completing FiT’s VBA accepted course, delivering knowledge in conducting the water supply proving test on fire hydrant systems.

Why The 'OPTIONAL Addition' Unit

Choose to be RPL Assessed in this unit to be eligable for the Restricted Registration for ‘Routine Servicing of Fire Hose Reels (ongoing restricted class)’.

RPL REQUIREMENTS

2-years continuous documented experience conducting routine servicing of Unpumped Hydrant systems. Required documentation:

Declaration by employer
Service records:
- 6-monthly servicing – completion of at least 20 service jobs at 10 different sites
- Annual servicing – completion of 20 service jobs at 10 different sites.
Resume
White Card/Construction Induction Card
Certified copies of any qualifications
Site Induction records
Toolbox talk attendance records
Knowledge around fire protection equipment identification and routine service of Unpumped Hydrant systems.

Applicants will be required to successfully demonstrate their skills & knowledge.

If you do not meet the RPL requirements, FiT will be offering training in these units at an additional cost.

FEES

The fee for eligible individuals is:

$1,400 for NFIA Members
$1,750 for NON-NFIA Members

PLUS the cost of $285 for VBA Exam

*If you choose to be RPL Assessed for unit CPPFES2010A, the additional fee is:

$300 for NFIA Members
$375 for NON-NFIA Members
